Throughout Texas and beyond, many are joining with Literacy Connexus to help churches help people with literacy needs. Churches and Christian learning centers have donated books by the thousands. Still more churches, Royal Ambassadors, seniors groups, Texas WMU, and others have built hundreds of bookcases. Texas has blessed tornado-ravaged areas across the south with books and supplies, and, in turn, has been blessed with Books for the Border projects by groups such as First Baptist Church of Zachary, Louisiana.

With new projects taking shape every week, Literacy Connexus is on a quest to identify assets and needs as they arise, and to bring them together in the most efficient way possible. We envision this page as a tool for connecting the various elements of Books for the Border projects, and of making visible the work being accomplished so that others may join in.
