SUMMARY:January 2021 Grapevine TEX (ESL) Training
DESCRIPTION:TEX (Teaching English with Excellence)  \nBasic ESL Training for New ESL Teachers of Adult Students  \nWHEN:        Online 3 hours. Mandatory before workshop \nThe online 3 hour training will be sent to you upon registration. The online portion of the TEX training is asynchronous\, pre-recorded and may be completed at participant’s own pace before attending the in person workshop. After completing the online portion of the TEX training\, participants will attend the in person workshop. \nIn Person workshop on Saturday\, January 15\, 2022\,  9 am – 1pm \nArrive on Saturday before TIME to check in & receive materials.  \n  \nWHERE:  First Baptist Church \n301 E.  Texas St. \nGrapevine\, Tx. \nCOST: $25– includes notebook manual sent electronically when you register. Payment can be made online when registering or pay January 15\, 2021. (day of workshop) by check made out to Literacy Connexus  OR with exact amount of cash\, NO change made. \nRESERVATIONS: Required by Monday\, January 10\, 2022 \nRegistration is limited\, so training may be closed BEFORE that date.  \nFor reservations: \nRegister on our online reservation form.         \nCompleting the online reservation form will register you for both the 3 hour online (asynchronous\, complete at your own pace\, video-based) training AND the in person workshop. \nOr contact Janice Long at tex.teachers@gmail.com  \nInformation needed to make a reservation:  \n\n your name as wish on nametag & certificate \n your email & phone number \n your city of residence \n the name of church or organization & city where plan to teach or if already teaching ESL\, what level of students \n\nIndividuals must register for themselves.  \nLeadership may not reserve spots for their volunteers.  \nYou’ll receive a confirmation email upon receipt of your registration. Due to time allotted for this training\, references to higher levels will be limited but many of the same techniques used for beginners are also appropriate for the higher levels. Higher level teachers who have never attended a basic workshop will benefit from this training.
