Literacy Texas

Literacy Texas is the statewide literacy coalition for Texas, connecting and equipping literacy programs through resources, training, networking, and advocacy. It provides leadership to help community-based organizations that provide literacy services, literacy coalitions, and adult education program throughout the state build capacity and improve literacy levels in Texas. Literacy Powerline’s mission is to increase literacy levels through effective and sustainable community collaboration and engagement. It works with educators, business and labor leaders, philanthropies, civic and faith-based groups, policymakers, literacy providers and students to demonstrate that everyone thrives when a community is committed to 100% literacy.

Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning

TCALL is a Center of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University with the mission to provide a centralized resource for collaborative networking, knowledge, and service for those meeting the literacy needs of adult learners and their families .

The Campaign for Grade-level Reading

The Campaign is a collaborative effort by dozens of funders across the nation to: close the gap in reading achievement that separates many low-income students from their peers; raise the bar for reading proficiency so that all students are assessed by world-class standards; and ensure that all children, including and especially children from low-income families, have an equitable opportunity to meet those higher standards.
