Literacy Texas is the statewide literacy coalition for Texas, connecting and equipping literacy programs through resources, training, networking, and advocacy. It provides leadership to help community-based organizations that provide literacy services, literacy coalitions, and adult education program throughout the state build capacity and improve literacy levels in Texas. TCALL is a Center of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University with the mission to provide a centralized resource for collaborative networking, knowledge, and service for those meeting the literacy needs of adult learners and their families .
The Campaign is a collaborative effort by dozens of funders across the nation to: close the gap in reading achievement that separates many low-income students from their peers; raise the bar for reading proficiency so that all students are assessed by world-class standards; and ensure that all children, including and especially children from low-income families, have an equitable opportunity to meet those higher standards.
