Happy Friday from Literacy Connexus everyone! We hope that you are happy, healthy, and warm when this blog post reaches your inbox.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend TALAE, the Texas Association for Literacy and Adult Education conference, virtually of course. And I just have to say that the conference was definitely a blessing for me. I was able to attend some wonderful sessions. The session that stood out the most, to me, was presented by Michele Vick, the Associate Director at TCALL PD Center- a center which I highly suggest that you check out for some great adult education training.

Anyhow, by the end of Michele’s session, I just knew I couldn’t keep this information to myself. It was just too good. If you missed the TALAE conference, and you’re looking for new ways to build community amongst your students, especially in today’s virtual world, then you are also in luck because Michele was gracious enough to share her presentation with me.

So, without further ado, check out the slides below and build a little community in your class.

I hope that you enjoy this presentation as much as I did. Until next time, blessing and happy teaching!
