Literacy Texas
Literacy texas is the statewide literacy coalition for Texas, connecting and equipping literacy programs through resourcvces, training, networking, and advocacy. It provides leadership to help community-based organizations that provide literacy services, literacy coalitions, and adult education programs throughout the state that built build capacity and improve literacy levels in Texas. Literacy Texas maintains a list of Texas Literacy coalitions, which can be seen on their website.
Proliteracy
Proliteracy champions the power of literacy to improve the lives of adults and their families, communities, and societies, envisioning a world in which everyone can read, write, compute, and use teachnology to lead healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.
Texas Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages
TexTESOL has a mission to advance professional expertise in English language teaching and learning for speakers of other languages. They help create an array of resources through hosting a number of conferences at state, regional, and national levels.
Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning
TCALL is a Center of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University with the mission to provide a centralized resource for collaborative networking, knowledge, and service for those meeting the literacy needs of adult learners and their families.
