Today, we have a fantastic set of tools for ESL ministries and new teachers alike.

Teacher training tools! Literacy Minnesota has created a Teacher Training Toolkit to get new teachers started with ESL – and it’s free!
Whether your church is just beginning a new endeavor into ESL ministry and is looking to start off on the right foot, or your church has an established ESL ministry and is looking to do some revamping and revitalization to get everyone on the same page – this resource could work for you!
The teacher toolkit from Literacy Minnesota includes modules on: giving directions to English language learners, checking comprehension effectively, how to moderate teacher talk time, and error correction and feedback.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of everything you’ll need to begin an ESL ministry and get your teachers trained, but this is a fantastic (and did I mention free?) resource.
